Canandaigua Area Soccer League · Since way back
The Finger Lakes' summer soccer tradition — recreational soccer for kids entering UPK through 6th grade who aren't playing travel. The emphasis is learning basic skills and having fun, with all practices and Saturday games at Finger Lakes Community College.
Because this is recreational soccer, we understand players can't make every session — vacations and summer plans happen, and that's fine. Placement is based on the grade your child is entering in September.
The season opens with our annual Kick-Off at FLCC — meet your coaches and pick up your player's uniform. 2027 date announced with registration.
Practices run Monday–Thursday evenings at FLCC, in early and late sessions. Exact times are set once teams are formed.
In 2026, game days were Saturdays at FLCC — one place for the whole league, all summer. We're re-evaluating the game-day format for 2027 and will announce it with registration.
Divisions are based on gender and the grade your child is entering — if they're in 2nd grade now, they register as rising 3rd/4th.
An introduction to soccer — learning and practicing the basics while having fun as a team. Players must be 4 years old by June 30, 2027.
Learning the game by building basic skills. Referees make calls while providing instruction and guidance to the players.
Coaching builds on the principles of the game with age-suited skills. The field gets bigger and games get longer, with referees still teaching as they call.
The field grows again and referees step back a bit — players at this level know the game and get to play it.

Registration for Summer 2027 opens in January and runs through mid-April. Final 2027 pricing is posted when registration opens — for reference, the 2026 season was $125 with an early-bird discount and a monthly payment plan, and we work to keep it that affordable. Financial assistance is available every season.
You don't need years of soccer experience — we provide training, guidance, and a shared curriculum so every team learns the same skills. Sign up to coach when you register your player, or raise your hand early through our volunteer coach form. We are always in need of coaches.
Aid is available on request and granted before the season starts. Apply each season with our digital application.
Tell us what you need — or just ask to be notified when Summer 2027 registration opens — and your note goes to our club leadership and rec program together, so you always get an answer.
